The Trendlyne MCP Server currently supports the following tools:

1. Search Entities: Searches for a stock, ETF, index, sector, or theme and resolves it to the correct identifier (NSE symbol, BSE code, or ISIN). This is typically the first tool used before retrieving market data.

2. Get Overview, News & Corporate Events: Retrieves one of the following data views for a stock:

Overview – DVM Scores, valuation, checklist, and technical summary.

Technical – RSI, MFI, MACD, moving averages, and other technical indicators.

News – Company news and announcements.

Corporate Events – Dividends, board meetings, stock splits, bonus issues, rights issues, and other corporate actions.

3. Get Parameter Values for Multiple Stocks: Fetches structured financial and market data for one or more stocks in a single request.

This includes: Financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow), Financial Ratios, Analyst Estimates, Insider Trades, Price and Volume Data and Technical Indicators. This tool is ideal for comparing metrics across multiple stocks or retrieving historical values of a parameter, such as ROE over several years.

4. Get Ownership, Deals & SAST Disclosures: Retrieves ownership and regulatory disclosure data, including:

Shareholding – Promoter, FII, DII, Mutual Fund, and Public holdings.

SAST Disclosures – Insider trading disclosures, substantial acquisition disclosures, and promoter pledges.

Bulk & Block Deals – Bulk and block deal transactions.

5. Get Document Search Results: Performs semantic search across company documents, including: Annual Reports, Quarterly Results, Earnings Call Transcripts and Investor Presentations.

This tool is best suited for qualitative queries such as management commentary, business strategy, growth drivers, business risks, segment performance, and other narrative insights, rather than structured financial data.
